An ideal plant for home gardens, the Glencoe Purple Thornless raspberry was created by the Scottish Crop Research Institute and is a mix between the black and red raspberries. The Glencoe is a compact plant and does great in containers! The Glencoe is self-pollinating and will produce fruit with only a single plant. Fruit will begin to ripen in early summer and fresh fruit has never been easier to enjoy right off the plant! The Glencoe prefers full sunlight and well-drained soil and will grow to be 6 to 8 feet tall in maturity. It also shows good resistance to verticillium wilt disease.
